APDS facilitates a web-based community health prevention coalition (REDD Health Coalition) that provides information on free and low cost health services. R.E.D.D. Health Coalition serves as a vehicle to disseminate information about healthcare issues and provide healthcare resources to the African/African American community to improve awareness of health prevention and treatment.  R.E.D.D. Health Coalition offers presentations about topics such as: Preventative Health Measures, Risk and Protective Factors, etc.

In an effort to increase participation of the African/African American community in healthcare prevention and treatment, the R.E.D.D. Health Coalition will promote various events sponsored by participating member agencies/entities of the R.E.D.D. Health Coalition, such as: walk-a-thons, conferences, workshops and other fundraising events.

The goals of this program for participants who attend presentations and health fairs are as follow:

  1. Participants are expected to be able to articulate signs, symptoms, and risk factors of health conditions
  2. Participants will know that resources are available in the health and medical community for those who are in need regardless of their ability to pay
  3. Participants will participate in health fair/agency screenings
  4. R.E.D.D. will deliver presentations to legislative bodies as requested.
  5. R.E.D.D. will promote African/African American involvement in clinical trials
