APDS NGUZO SABA INSTITUTE
AFRICAN HISTORY (ASCAC) STUDY GROUP
The
Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations (ASCAC) provides
a body of knowledge that continuously contributes to the rescue, reconstruction,
and restoration of African history and culture. Our purpose is to promote
the study of African civilizations for the development of an African world-view.
Our aim is to build African centered study groups and strengthen existing
institutions. Our goal is to provide excellence in all dimensions of our association.
Our strategy is to use our accumulated knowledge and resources for the liberation
of African people wherever they may be. Our commitment is to the truth.
The continuing thrust of ASCAC is to bring together scholars, thinkers, planners, artist, students, scientist, technicians and conscientious workers to promote and preserve our ancient African heritage. The APDS ASCAC study group is one of many all over the world. We offer a venue for Central Ohio African and African Americans to participate, teach and learn about great African Civilizations and current events.
The APDS ASCAC Study Group meets on Fridays from 6:00
pm to 8:00 pm under the leadership of Dr. Moriba Kelsey and Elder Bob Donaldson.
