Empowering Dreams: Mama Kim's Scholarship Unveils a Path to Success!

Looking for a way out: Education, Opportunity, Success?
Planning to get more education after high school?
Looking for help to fund your dreams?

Africentric Personal Development Shop (APDS) always seeks to uplift our community. One way we ensure our people rise is by providing funds to young students seeking to expand their knowledge. This is done through the Millicent “Mama Kim” Dixon Scholarship Fund.

The Millicent “Mama Kim” Dixon Scholarship Fund

Millicent “Mama Kim” Dixon, a retired nurse and co-chair of the APDS Council of Elders, established a scholarship fund with APDS. This scholarship allows APDS to offer money to young people who want more education after they graduate from high school. By helping our students, we ultimately help our community and our community’s future

The APDS Board of Directors gives two scholarships each year to students. The scholarships are given to winners through the Helping Hands for Youth (formerly Greater Columbus Community Helping Hands Inc.).
